According to a major judgement given by the hon’ble Supreme Court of India has put 3% quota for disbabled and women.
In simple words, these will they will not be affected by the 50% cap on reservation.
It also means that general -category applicants will have only 47 % of vaccanicies in government jobs.
This may help disabled and women candidates to compete on fair grounds.
As of now, they are losing many chances to different reservation policies.
The court also struck down a Madhya Pradesh government decision to terminate the employment of general -category disabled quota as assistant teachers.
This decision may act as a stern warning to political parties who often use issue reservation to meet political ends.
